League’s First Perfect Game
Dan Pickering of the Aces accomplished something tonight against the Moonshots that will go down in the history books. A perfect game with 8 K’s! Pickering had all of his pitches moving incredibly and proved to be unhittable on this evening. Dan has come a long way since season 1 on the mound and at the plate where he had transformed himself from a weak hitting unsure righty to a disciplined left handed power hitter.
Shockers end Ball Busters 7 game win streak
2 monster HR’s by AJ Petrovsky put the ball Busters up 4-2 going into the last of the 3rd bit it proved to not be enough as the shockers were game tonight and were able to put 5 straight players on base capped off by a Wyatt Kelly walk off opposite field single to end the Ball Busters 7 game winning streak with a 5-4 win.
A New Ace for the Shockers?
Jesse Daige drew his first ever start for the Shockers and did not disappoint. He looked really sharp early working his slider and changing speeds nicely to keep the Pot Bellies off balance. The Shockers provided some run support for a change and jumped out to a 5-1 lead. Daige came right after hitters in the 3rd but an error and a 2 out 3 run bomb over the container by JD Newitt cut the lead to 5-4. Jesse reached deep into the tank and got Bobo on a 2-2 slider to wrap it up.
